Garmin iQue 3600 w/Auto navigation kit
Information
|
I recently won through a contest a Garmin iQue 3600 (14 June 2004) hosted by a local news paper and supplied by a Marine Supply retailer at the boat show in Vancouver, BC this spring. The unit was open but pristine condition when I received it. I played around with it for a few days and decided that I prefer my Tungsten 2 due to it's Bluetooth capabilities. This unit comes in all the original packaging, all original equipment as listed below, plus the vehicle adapter/mount. The only thing 'wrong' with this unit is a missing 'bolt' on the vehicle mount as indicated in the picture below. I have been told if you talk to Garmin customer service 'nicely' saying it must have 'vibrated loose', people have received a new one at no cost. I did use it inside my truck with the 'bolt' missing with no problems. Please visit the Garmin iQue 3600 web site for more information, read on below for more pictures and details. There is a 'firmware' upgrade available for download from the Garmin web site if you choose, however the unit seems to work just fine as it is. Check that out too, see if it's worth the download. |

This is the whole package
Click any of the above pictures to see full sized picture. The unit is mint, no scratches on the screen or case, the leather cover is free of defects etc.
AC Adapter/ Desktop Cradle ---- Desktop Cradle ---- Vehicle adapter/mount ($80 USD)
Rear of Vehicle adapter/mount, arrow shows missing 'bolt'/pin which would look like the lower one. Again, I have heard some people have received a free replacement from Garmin Customer service if you talk nicely to them. Tell them it must have 'vibrated' loose and you cannot find it. I had it mounted as you see here in my truck for about 4-5 days, once adjusted, no problems, it never moved but I would still try and get a new one from Garmin.
Pricing
The Garmin site lists the basic unit at $580 USD + $80 USD for the vehicle adapter/mount.
