Hull Art
This section depicts some of
the 'Art-Work' I did on my vehicle. Many Marines found a way to relax and
do some
modifications to the plain beige paint on our vehicles. I had a few black
jiffy markers and started to do some drawing.
Shortly after, my dad sent me some color markers which added a whole new
dimension....

This is me and my vehicle, 'Mary-Lou'. I drew the
1st insignia and then received a picture from a
buddy at home who had a T-Shirt with the 'So-Damn Insane' on it. I copied
it onto 'Mary-Lou's' hull.

I added the nude, it was my first artwork on 'Mary-Lou'.

'Mary-Lou's TOW missile launcher.
Three of our TOW - LAVs fell under the
command of SSGT Catchings who had a voice like Wolfman Jack on the radio.
We started to
call him the Wolfman and so the vehicles under his command became the
'Wolf-Pack'. I made a small stencil from an MRE box and we stenciled
the turrets of our vehicles. Later I added a Roman numeral I, II, III
beside the stencil.

If anyone has any other pictures of Artwork done on LAVs, please forward to me to post on the site!!
