Conrad F. Kania U.S. Marine Corps Monument and Memorial

The Conrad f. Kania of the Marine Corps League has built a Monument to honor all Marines past, present and future. The Monument is dedicated to all Marines everywhere who have honorably served their country.  Click on the image above to visit their site for more information or here to see a map of the location

Several months ago, I asked former LAI Members, friends of our fallen brothers, who gave the ultimate sacrifice, on the night of January 29, 1991 in the battle of Umm Hujul if they would be interested in donating some funds to add a plaque to this memorial for Dave Snyder.  We decided, since the local branch of the Marine Corps League was donating one for Dave, we would like to have one for the entire crew who perished that night.  Several of the brothers rose to the cause, a few who didn't even personally know them, and we were able to raise enough money to have a plaque added with the entire crew, as they trained together, fought together, and sadly, perished together.  These plaques are mounted on the memorial in Kenmore, NY, Dave Snyder's home town.
