Me on the road to Kuwait Int'l Airport
The Movement to Kuwait City...
This picture was taken of me by my Gunner. This was during a lapse in the action and while on the road to Kuwait City where our final objective was to secure Kuwait International Airport. You can see the oil wells burning ahead of us, however, the sky is lightening up...As we progressed we started to run into pockets of resistance, the Republican Guard. Unlike the cannon fodder earlier, these where stubborn and often fought 'till the end...

Here are some of my toys...AK-47s, Dragnov Sniper Rifle and RPGs
Cease Fire, Cease Fire....
This picture was taken of me shortly after the order to "Cease all offensive operations.." came down the pipe. This is several hours after the battle for Kuwait International Airport was said and done. These are just a few of the toys I collected.  The picture on the left I have an AK-47 with standard wood stock and one with a folding stock and 70 round drum magazine.  The right picture I have an Dragnov Sniper Rifle and an RPG Launcher with ammo.

The "Wolf Pack"
The Wolf Pack
These are my fellow Marines of the TOW attachment to Co. "A", 1st LAI Bn. This was taken back in Saudi Arabia once we had a chance to clean up and were preparing to go home. We were attached to many different line companies during our time over there and had a hard time as each C.O. did things a little differently. I am in the back row, second in from the right.

Waiting for the "Free Bird"

Killing Time......
Anyone who has spent time in the military knows the phrase "Stand by to stand by..". Here we kill time waiting to catch our "Freedom Bird". The vehicles have been stripped, cleaned and passed all inspections. We spent time scrubbing months of crud off of our bodies, relaxing, playing cards and eating those shitty burgers off the burger trucks.

Relaxing!
Ahhhhh the life......
Here I am relaxing....waiting for the call that our taxi home was in.....This was a rare treat for me as "a":  I actually had time to set up this little hammock and "b":  I had another vehicle close enough to secure it too. We spent about ten days on the side of the road here outside the airport waiting for our ticket home....
