Technology Corner/ Gadgets

Let's see... you own or are thinking about buying a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) whether or not there is software available to assist you in your military career.

With the ability to not only organize your busy life, store addresses, write and send email (with a modem) store applications, electronic books and reference material, they are fast becoming the norm.  Think of the times spent, "Standing by, to stand by". Even rack times on that crappy floating tuna can on a 'pump'.  You can download a host of games and entertainment software as well.  Here is a list of some of the top software sites and information for PDA software.

I have been using a PDA for years now.  My wife figures the only 'Gulf War Syndrome' I suffer from is short-term memory loss.  For years I carried a standard paper Day Timer but now I use a Palm.  I live out of mine and have come to rely on it like knowing every fifth round is a tracer and the three in a row means 'Mag-Change'.
